Pulp and paper business in Russia is still growing up even though the COVID-19 epidemic

 

   Regarding the recorded data from the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), pulp production during 2020 grew up around 6.7%, when compared with the similar period of last year, and still continue growing up until now.  

   Rosstat also reported that the volume of wood pulp production industry and pulp, made from other types of fiber in the country are circulated in the market about 8 million tons.

   The growth of the Pulp and paper business is quite successful although the COVID-19 epidemic is still increasing and impacts the overall Russian economy. Moreover, analysts have predicted that this situation is ongoing till June 2021.

   Cardboard and paper production during January – November increased from 4.5% to 8.7 million tons. In the case of the package, which made from corrugated paper or cardboard, its growth increased from 3.2% to 5.6 billion square meters.

   The analysts expected that the requirement of pulp and paper in Russia is continued growing up. In this year, the growth in Russian market will be pointedly higher than last year.

   Despite of Covid-19 pandemic these top 10 pulp & paper manufacturing companies in Russia have the potential to produce significant volume of pulp & paper. The list of those companies is shown in below figure.

   Therefore, the Russian pulp and paper market is very attractive to investors. It can be considered as an alternative to the pulp users instead of pulp from Europe and America.
